Finishing: Binding 101

As we make a quilt, we are often pre-occupied with the fabrics and pattern.   Usually, we purchase binding fabric when buying fabric without much thought about making the binding.  I often say to students — the most important part of the quilt is the binding since it will receive the most wear!  Beauty is important — construction is critical!

Our 3 hour class will provide you with basic binding skills; selecting the best size binding, measuring, cutting, piecing for durability and long lasting wear.  Hand and machine finishing will be included.  There is so much to cover and so important!  * We will be using the “Quilter’s Reference Tool”, above.
